Hello and welcome to whitewoodcrafts.com. I thought I would start by telling you a little about
myself and how I came to love working with wood.
For as long as I can remember I enjoyed
working with my hands and thanks to my farther have a mild obsession with tools and what they can create in the right hands. I grew up in a town but
knew the countryside was the place for me. Once I had finished school I studied countryside management at college and subsequently at Aberystwyth university. It was while
studying at Aberystwyth that I discovered green woodworking and knew this was
what I wanted to do.
I went off to the woodland to work with Mike Abbot (author of "Green Woodwork" and Living Wood") and Ben Law ("The Woodland Way" and "The woodland House") where I learnt the art
of working
with wood the natural way, carrying out the whole process from the tree to finished
product; principles that I still use today to ensure environmental sustainability in
all of my wood works. This is as important to me as creating the best functional
and visually pleasing products.
Please take some time to look around the
website to see what products and services I can offer.
